MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x is an ultrasonic water meter optimised for residential use. Contrary to traditional mechanical meters, MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x is a static meter protected against water ingress with no moving parts. Therefore, it maintains a high and stable accuracy throughout its lifetime of up to 16 years. MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x has a very low error margin, an industry-leading accuracy and an optimised low start flow which ensures that even the smallest consumption is measured accurately.
MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x comes with built-in communication and the remote reading is handled easily through either a drive by solution or a fixed network. This lets you significantly decrease your data collection time and enables you to avoid time-consuming follow-ups on lacking or imprecise readings. It is easy to get started with remote reading and you can expand or upgrade your system as your needs change.
Intelligent alarms from the ultrasonic water meter lets you detect leaks and bursts or other irregularities such as tampering attempts or reverse flows quickly and effectively. This limits water loss as well as any collateral damage and enables you to provide a more proactive customer service.
If you are looking to get started with more advanced data analytics, MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x also provides the foundation for hourly calculations of the water loss in each of your districts.
MULTICAL® 21 / flowIQ® 210x is made from 100% eco-friendly and durable composite. The water meter is fully watertight and can be installed without any risk of water ingress or condensation in the display. Our fully automated production process ensures consistent quality and hygienic, accurately calibrated meters.
Vitens, The Netherlands
A recent pilot project has helped water company Vitens ensure the safety of their field staff when they have to read water meters in locations that are dangerous or difficult to reach. With remotely read smart meters and a drive-by solution, meter reading can be done directly from the car and in a matter of seconds.
Saldanha Bay, Cape Town, South Africa
Saldanha Bay is located in the Western Cape Region north of Cape Town in South Africa. The municipality has a dedicated strategy to become one of South Africa’s first smart cities. Part of the strategy is to combine the utility’s consumption data with the city’s information system to better utilise its value. In 2017, they therefore decided to install smart water meters that are read automatically via a radio network.
