Kamstrup Group subsidiaries

Customer service and support requests are handled by Kamstrup’s employees across our group companies. Support cases may be processed by staff located in Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

When personal data is transferred to the US, Kamstrup relies on an adequacy decision as Kamstrup LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Documentation for the certification can be found here: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list

ServiceNow Netherlands B.V. 

Kamstrup uses ServiceNow’s cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to manage and track customer service and support tickets.

The data controller may submit personal data to the ServiceNow platform at their discretion. Kamstrup may also create tickets in ServiceNow on behalf of the data controller when needed. Service tickets are stored on servers physically located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. ServiceNow does not have any direct access to the customer’s own systems.

ServiceNow group companies may have limited access to specific tickets as necessary to provide support. 

In such case, ServiceNow and its listed affiliates and subsidiaries may process data outside the EU/EEA. 

Where possible, transfers rely on adequacy decisions. If not, transfers are safeguarded using EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) supported by Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) and appropriate supplementary measures.

Applicator provides an IT system used by Kamstrup employees for operational purposes, allowing them to monitor the performance of customers’ meters. The system stores meter numbers, addresses, and any notes that customers may enter. If an issue arises, such as system inaccessibility, Applicator’s support team assists in resolving the problem.

Solita A/S provides services as an integration developer. Upon request, system operations may grant access to the server hosting the integration component.

As part of the flowIQ solution, Kamstrup uses Netic as a sub-processor. Netic provides and manages the IT platform used by Kamstrup’s IT and operations teams to support the company’s data platform. This includes responsibility for the technical operation and infrastructure that runs the data systems and services.

As part of the flowIQ solution, Kamstrup uses Trifork as a sub-processor. Trifork provides the IT platform and associated application components used by Kamstrup employees for data processing and system support. Trifork is responsible for the development and technical operation of selected parts of the platform.

Depending on the solution provided and your geographical location as the Data Controller, Kamstrup may engage one or more sub-processors to deliver hosting services. When Microsoft Azure is involved as a sub-processor, the Azure region will be selected based on your location, including regions in Sweden, the Netherlands, or the United States. For customers located within the EU, personal data will remain within the EU.

Microsoft engages its own sub-processors, some of which may be located in third countries. Where an adequacy decision is not in place, data transfers are safeguarded using the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Kamstrup has also prepared Transfer Impact Assessments (“TIAs”) to identify and implement any necessary supplementary measures.

System administration for the READy system and FlowIQ is provided by employees within the group of the data processor situated in Denmark and the USA. In this regard, the following subsidiary entity shall be engaged as sub-processor. In connection with the transfer of personal data to the USA, the data processor bases the transfer on an adequacy decision, as Kamstrup LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Microsoft provides cloud hosting services for analytics data and solutions through its Azure platform.

Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited uses sub-processors, including sub-processors located in third countries. In cases where an adequacy decision is not in place, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are used as the legal basis for data transfers. The data processor has also prepared Transfer Impact Assessments (“TIA”) to identify and implement any necessary supplementary measures.

Hosting On-Premise

For on-premise hosting, including proxy and router services, the data processor is authorized to use the subprocessors listed above. As part of this solution, Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited also engages subprocessors, some of which are located in third countries. When transferring personal data to these countries, the data processor relies on adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission where available. In the absence of such decisions, transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Additionally, the data processor has conducted Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) to identify and implement any necessary supplementary safeguards.

Integration and Conversion of Data

BizBrains is used for integration and data conversion services. BizBrains supplies the system Link, an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) platform. The Link system converts export formats from READy into delivery formats supported by the customers’ READy Manager.

Return Temperature Optimizer

As part of the Return Temperature Optimizer service, Kamstrup utilizes the above-listed sub-processor. E-boks A/S is engaged for the secure transmission of electronic documents.
