Kamstrup and Netcompany form strategic partnership to support smarter grid operations
Netcompany and Kamstrup have entered into a strategic partnership to further develop Kamstrup's Grid Management Services. By combining Netcompany's AI-enabled PULSE platform and software development capabilities with Kamstrup's grid expertise, the partnership will help distribution system operators gain deeper insight into their networks and make more efficient use of existing grid capacity.
Electrification is increasing pressure on the electricity grid.
More electric vehicles, heat pumps, data centres, battery storage and distributed energy generation are adding complexity to grid operations, while expanding infrastructure is both time-consuming and resource intensive. This increases the need to make better use of existing grid capacity.
In this context, gaining a more accurate understanding of grid conditions and identifying where available capacity can be utilised more effectively has become a strategic priority for many distribution system operators.
To address this challenge, Kamstrup and Netcompany are entering into a strategic partnership to further develop Kamstrup's Grid Management Services, providing distribution system operators with a stronger foundation for planning and operating the grid of the future.
The ambition is to make data-driven grid planning more accessible to distribution system operators across Europe.

Kamstrup's Grid Management Services already translate meter data and low-voltage grid intelligence into actionable insights and recommendations. While concrete case studies have already shown that up to 10% of capacity can be freed up in parts of the electricity
grid, the next step is to make these insights available to more distribution system operators, faster and more efficiently to an even wider range of utilities.
The partnership will strengthen the potential for AI adoption in the utilities sector, transforming large volumes of data into a stronger basis for decision-making.
With PULSE as the underlying platform and Netcompany’s expertise, Kamstrup will be able to accelerate further innovation and strengthen the link between data, insights and operational action.
Netcompany brings extensive experience in data analytics, AI and the digitalisation of critical infrastructure. Through the PULSE platform, Netcompany will become a key partner in the continued development and scaling of Grid Management Services.
Kamstrup provides intelligent metering solutions to utilities in more than 80 countries and has over 30 million meters installed worldwide.

Why is Kamstrup entering this partnership?
Because we see significant potential in Grid Management Services and want to accelerate its development and scaling. The partnership provides access to a strong digital platform and additional software and AI capabilities, which can help us bring new opportunities to market faster. Kamstrup will accelerate the further development and scaling of GMS. Kamstrup brings the product, domain expertise, analytics and customer relationship. Netcompany contributes PULSE and additional digital development capacity. Quite simply, we believe that the partnership will enable us to create more value for customers, faster.
Why Netcompany?
Netcompany combines an established platform with experience in complex, data-intensive and critical-infrastructure environments. This aligns with Kamstrup’s ambition to develop GMS further on a robust and scalable foundation. The partnership is not about finding a supplier. It is about finding the right partner, with ambitions that align with Kamstrup’s. Netcompany is also Danish, which has likewise been an important consideration.
Why now?
Because our customers’ challenges are growing faster than ever. Electrification, AI, data centres, batteries and decentralised generation are increasing the complexity of the electricity grid. We see strong market momentum and want to accelerate the development of GMS and deliver even more value to customers.
