Sigfox is a global communications service provider that specializes in low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) technology for Internet of Things (IoT). It enables devices to connect and transmit small amounts of data over long distances while consuming minimal energy. Sigfox operates a dedicated network, allowing for scalable and cost-effective connectivity solutions for millions of devices.

Even with daily values, the Sigfox water meter delivers up to 16 years of battery lifetime, and just like the original, it pushes valuable alarms in the event of leaks, bursts, reverse flows, and tampering attempts. Its hermetically closed design with IP68-approved vacuum sealing, combined with the absence of moving parts, makes the meter resistant to dust, damp, wear, and tear.
Kamstrup’s Sigfox meters are equipped with built-in Sigfox connectivity from the factory, and easy integration into existing water management systems.
After a successful integration data is transmitted directly from the meter and into the meter data management system (MDM).
