The Kamstrup ULTRAFLOW® is the trademark Kamstrup static flow sensor based on the ultrasonic measuring principle. It is primarily used as a volume flow sensor and has been designed for heating applications where water is the heat-bearing medium. The prime area of application is as a volume heat flow sensor for use with thermal heat meters such as MULTICAL®. Made of brass or stainless steel, the heat flow sensors are hard wearing and do not have any moving parts guaranteeing a long life time.
The ULTRAFLOW® sensors employ micro-processor technology and ultrasonic measuring techniques. The volume is measured using a bi-directional ultrasonic technique based on transit time. All circuits for calculating and measuring are collected on a single board, providing compact and rational design in addition to an exceptionally high level of measuring accuracy and reliability.
Due to the unique design of the flow part, ULTRAFLOW® delivers high accuracy with minimised loss of pressure and with a high level of resistance to turbulence. In short: High accuracy and high performance delivering measurements you can rely on.
Due to the unique design of the flow part, ULTRAFLOW® 34 delivers high accuracy with minimised loss of pressure and with a high level of resistance to turbulence. In short: High accuracy and high performance delivering measurements you can rely on.
The ULTRAFLOW® 54 flow sensors (DN150-DN250) are available with internal supply if the distance between MULTICAL® and ULTRAFLOW® 54 is 10m or more. The ULTRAFLOW® 54 flow sensors are available in a wide range of sizes from DN15-D250 and flow rates from 0.6 m3/h - 1,000 m3/h.
The signal cable is available in 2.5m, 5m and 10m, but if longer distances are required, a Pulse Transmitter can be used.

Made of brass or stainless steel, the flow sensors are hard wearing and do not have any moving parts guaranteeing a long life time. A three-wired signal cable is used to connect the ULTRAFLOW® 54 flow sensor to the MULTICAL® calculator. This cable supplies the flow sensor and transfers the signal from the sensor to the calculator.
Kamstrup provides ultrasonic meters for metering heat energy consumption. Smart heat metering enables valuable features like remote meter reading, meter surveillance and integration with water metering and electricity metering systems.
