Strong profile will continue the leadership of Kamstrup’s heat business

2. December, 2019

The Danish technology company Kamstrup adds new forces to its heat business. The company hires Danfoss director Tommy Hansen to lead intelligent metering solutions for the district heating industry.

Kamstrup's expertise in metering solutions comes mainly from the heating industry, where they have built a strong position as market and technology leader over the years. A new director has now been hired to continue Kamstrup's heating business, which also includes cooling solutions.

Tommy Hansen, who has a background from Danfoss, takes over the job after Knud Bonde, who will be responsible for developing Kamstrup's business in Asia in the future. Kamstrup announced this last week.

“Our ambition is to ensure and further strengthen our position as the market and technological leader of intelligent products, solutions and services within heat and cooling worldwide. Therefore, I am pleased that Tommy Hansen has agreed to lead this task, where we especially can benefit from his international experience from a larger Danish company. Tommy's task will be to continue the great work that has been done to develop our position while ensuring even greater dissemination of energy efficient solutions for the district heating and cooling industry," says Kim Lehmann, CEO of Kamstrup.

Tommy Hansen has a very strong background in sales and marketing and has among others had international sales responsibility for the past 20 years.

“Kamstrup has some really interesting solutions to increase the energy efficiency and I look forward to further developing the business internationally with the experience, I have gained from my time outside Denmark. We must continue to involve the customers in the development of our products and services  to create the most value for them. And we need to use the experience that has been built up, especially in Denmark, to develop solutions that can optimise and save resources for even more utilities and communities,” explains Tommy Hansen, new director of Kamstrup's heat business.

“There are a lot of talented employees and specialists in Kamstrup, and I look forward to gaining a greater insight into their work and the value that Kamstrup creates with data. It will be exiting to start a new journey together with an ambitious growth company, ”concludes Tommy Hansen.

Tommy comes from a job as Vice President and General Manager of Danfoss High Pressure Pump and Danfoss Appliance Controls.
