Kamstrup sells gas division

Kamstrup buys the business of the software company Saseco

2010

Kamstrup buys the business of the Swedish competitor SVM.

2008

Despite financial crisis, Kamstrup closes the year with record turnover and 30% growth rate.

2007

Kamstrup launches the first electronic water meter.

2006

Kamstrup buys the Swedish company Senea in order to strengthen the automatic meter reading competences.

2002

Kamstrup launches the first radio network meter reading system.

2000

The original business with process equipment for the industry is sold off, and Kamstrup focuses from now on exclusively on the energy business.

1998

Kamstrup manufactures the first electricity meters with automated meter reading.

1991

Kamstrup launches the ultrasonic heat meter

This meant a technological quantum leap into the heat meter business. From this time, Kamstrup chooses to focus strategically on serving district heating customers. The ultrasonic heat meter cemented Kamstrup’s leading position in the market for metering solutions.

1990

The company is taken over by the oil company, OK.

1974

The first electronical meter was launched

Kamstrup buys the company Metro, which brings the number of employees to 220.

1959

Kamstrup introduced the first heat meter.

1946

Kamstrup was founded by Olaf Kamstrup in Aarhus, Denmark.
